About Phonics Manila
Founded in 2021, Phonics Manila is a 100% online tutorial service dedicated to helping children develop strong foundational literacy skills through structured, engaging, and child-centered lessons delivered by Filipino teachers.
Building Confident Readers Since 2021
Our founder, a Special Education teacher with a master’s degree in Special Education, established Phonics Manila out of concern for the growing number of children experiencing reading difficulties. Driven by a passion for literacy and inclusive education, she pursued training in Jolly Phonics and Jolly Literacy in the Philippines, as well as Science of Reading training in the United States.
These learnings inform the continuous development of our instructional modules, which are refined based on established teaching principles, children’s learning needs, and parents’ goals and concerns.

Trained Head Teachers

To address the broader learning needs of families, we have also partnered with a trusted third-party provider to offer Basic Math, Basic Filipino, and English as a Second Language (ESL).

Jolly Phonics 1

Learners with little to no phonics background.

Jolly Phonics 3
Designed for
Learners who can read short sentences independently and are ready for complex spelling patterns, vocabulary building, comprehension, and higher-level decodable readers.

- Learn the final set of tricky words
- Practice alphabet recitation and capital letter formation
- Write sentences from dictation and develop free writing

Reading Comprehension
Our range of over 100 Jolly Phonics Decodable Readers includes Fiction for creativity and Nonfiction for real-life learning. These books give children the opportunity to practice blending skills and read confidently.
The books are decodable, using only words with letter sounds and spelling patterns children have already learned, keeping reading at a level they can manage.
